Write it down
As soon as possible after the incident, write down in as much detail as you can about:
- What happened
- What you saw, heard or felt
- Who did what
- What each person said
- Anything else that happened, and
- The exact order of events.
You must not show your notes to your witnesses or speak to them about the incident.
