Approved external users are not-for-profit community legal services providers with a Memorandum of Understanding with Legal Aid WA, and private practitioners with current membership of a Legal Aid WA Panel or List.

Internal resources are Legal Essentials, Manuals, Legal Alerts and other resources that are accessible to approved external users only through the password protected Law Hub site on the Legal Aid WA website.

The Terms of Use for internal resources are:

  1. Internal resources are the property of Legal Aid WA and are subject to Copyright and these Terms of Use.

  2. Internal resources may only be accessed, used, copied, shared or distributed by approved external users to assist them in their provision of legal services in the community or for the provision of legal training to staff within their organisation or firm.

  3. Internal resources may not be shared or made accessible in whole or in part in any way outside the organisation or the firm of the approved external user.

  4. Internal resources must not be provided or made accessible to a member of the public in whole or in part, whether or not as part of the provision of legal services.

  5. Login details (username and password) for access to Law Hub, which contains the internal resources, must be kept secure, may only be made available to staff employed within the organisation or the firm of the approved external user and must not be shared with, or made available to, anyone outside the organisation or the firm of the approved external user.

  6. Approved external users must notify Legal Aid WA immediately if they suspect that their login details are no longer secure or may be utilised contrary to these terms of use.

  7. Legal Aid WA may from time to time notify approved external users that their login has been re-set and that a new password is required for continued access to the Law Hub.

  8. Access to Law Hub and the internal resources may be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of Legal Aid WA.

  9. Legal Aid WA strives to maintain the accuracy of the internal resources but does not accept any responsibility or liability arising from the use of them.

  10. Approved external users agree to indemnify Legal Aid WA from any claims associated with the use of the internal resources.

  11. Approved external users are encouraged to notify Legal Aid WA by email of any inaccuracies identified in the internal resources.

  12. External users that are no longer categorised as approved external users must promptly email Legal Aid WA and cease access to and use of internal resources.
