The proposed Act will amend the Family Court Act 1997 (WA) to facilitate the exercise of federal jurisdiction by the Family Court of WA in respect of the superannuation interests of separating de facto couples in family law proceedings in WA.

Counsel representing an accused at a jury trial in the District Court must now complete a pre-trial questionnaire if requested. Further, the accused may be requested to undergo a Rapid Antigen Test prior to trial and trial bail may include a requirement to do a RAT each day.
