Law Week Video Challenge 2025

Law Week Video Challenge 2025Law Week 2025 takes place between Monday 19 - Friday 23 May.

The theme for this year is Justice | Connection | Community.

What is Law Week?
During Law Week we shine a light on issues affecting access to justice in our community.

At Legal Aid WA, we know that listening to and providing a platform for the voices of young people, is essential to this conversation.

To celebrate Law Week, we're inviting high school students from across WA to participate in our Law Week Video Challenge, providing a unique opportunity to show off their creative skills and passion by creating a short video to be shared across our social media platforms.

The challenge: Students are to submit a short video (maximum of 1 minute) using one of the following prompts:

  • Justice | Connection | Community – what does that mean to you?

  • Why is it important for young people to know their legal rights?

  • Staying Safe Online.

Who can participate: Students in years 7-12, with the support of their classroom teacher.

There's 3 steps to submit your entry:

  1. Teachers must email cle@legalaid.wa.gov.au to register.
  2. A link to a secure folder will then be provided.
  3. Upload your final masterpiece to this folder.

You can use any type of technology, app, or software to record your video or animation.

Dates: Entries close on Thursday 26 June 2025, at 4:00pm WST.
