Family law parenting kits

We create self-help kits and guides to help people solve their legal problem. These kits are to help you solve your family law parenting issues.

Our resources are not a replacement for legal advice. If possible, we always recommend that you get legal advice about your situation before appearing or lodging any forms in court.

If you have questions about these resources, or to ask if a paper copy could be sent to you, call the Infoline or contact your nearest Legal Aid WA office.

Consent Orders Kit

The Consent Orders Kit is for people who have reached agreement about parenting arrangements and/or property settlement after separation and who want to file a Form 11 Application for Consent Orders (“consent orders”) to obtain court orders setting out this agreement.

Commonwealth Information Orders Kit / Location Orders Kit

The Commonwealth Information Orders / Location Orders Kit is for people who do not know the address of a child (and the person caring for them.) A CIO/ Location Order can provide the address of the subject child (and the carer parent) to the court so that the carer parent can be served with an application for parenting orders.
