Public Sector Traineeships

Legal Aid WA participates in the Public Sector Commission's Solid Futures Aboriginal Traineeship Program.  Solid Futures gives young Aboriginal people formal training, prospective employment opportunities and support while completing a Certificate III in Government, and helps agencies to build diverse, talented and inclusive workforces.

This program is open to First Nations people who are 24 years or under. Traineeships are available in both the metropolitan area and regional areas.

While there is no guarantee of ongoing employment at the end of your traineeship, Legal Aid WA and the Public Sector Commission will work with you to identify potential opportunities, either with us or with another employer.

More information

The program is run by the Public Sector Commission. More information, including on how to apply, is available from the Public Sector Commission website.
