NAIDOC week is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements.

It is also an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.  NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. The national NAIDOC theme this year is Always Was, Always Will Be, which recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.
