Get help with separation and divorce
Legal Aid WA offers the following services on separation and divorce:
- information and resources, and
- appointments for legal advice.
Call the Infoline on 1300 650 579 for information about the law, to ask about our services and to find out how we can help you. First Nations callers can phone Legal Yarn on 1800 319 803 to access a culturally safe telephone information service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People; staffed by mob, for mob. The Infoline and Legal Yarn are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm (Western Standard Time), except on public holidays.
Legal Aid WA also has a network of virtual offices in local community agencies across the state which can provide advice about divorce matters. To make an appointment to see a lawyer using the virtual office service call the Infoline or Legal Yarn or go to one of our partner agencies and ask a member of staff to get in touch with us.
Many community legal centres offer services for people who have separated or are going through a divorce.
