First Nations Law Student Internship

The aim of the First Nations Law Student Internship is to provide First Nations law students with the opportunity to get to know Legal Aid WA by undertaking voluntary work in our legal practice. Students will work alongside experienced lawyers to develop their legal skills and gain insight into the legal system, our clients, and our work culture.

This internship program runs a day per week over a 12-week period and is for students in their second year or above of study for their law degree. Enquiries for this program are welcome at any time during the year.

If you are impacted by the regional court closures between 1 June and 28 August and you don’t think you can attend court in person, it’s important to let the court know.

Your lawyer or Legal Aid WA can help you do this.

Contact your local Legal Aid WA office or the Legal Aid WA Infoline for advice and help.
